Panties (as well as the other parts of underwear) are worn under other clothes, directly next to the skin. They keep outer garments from being soiled by sweat or other bodily secretions, provide support for parts of the body and shape it. It isn’t a secret that some women have a little underwear obsession. They love to buy panties not because they necessary need them but just because they love to find new ones with cute patterns or different styles. Anyway, there isn’t a rule how many pairs of panties you should have. This is totally a personal decision. However, the question is: how long to keep panties? How long is too long when it comes to keeping the underwear: panties, hipsters, briefs, thongs and the others? Do you judge by appearance or age? Maybe by some other criterion?
If you are good at buying new panties but not at throwing the old ones away, you simply might be overrun with underwear. There are a few reasons to throw away your panties: they are stained, don’t fit anymore, they have been washed so many times and they no longer contain any elastic and are just falling right off your body.
Of course, from the healthy mind point of view you should never throw away something that you can still use. But it is no longer acceptable to be wearing the same underwear at thirty-four that you did at fourteen and you can no longer use panties that simply slide off your body.
Generously, the most of ladies get rid of their old panties when they:
- Loose elasticity
- Start fading
- Get discolored
- Start to pill and fall apart
- Have it for too long and they are old
- Are faded
- Total different color
- Panties have holes
- They look plain nasty
How long to keep panties depends on the condition they are in. Maybe you won’t throw away your sexy, lacy unique thong, the nude pair that goes under your white dress or high-waisted shaping panties that are the only reason you can fit into that little black dress. And you will wear them as long as they will be still wearable. You should clean them and not keep on for a very long period. When your panties show signs of wearing out, have holes or the waist band is unraveling, it is one of the reasons to throw them away.
However, if you have panties like a pair of paisley-printed ’70s style briefs, you might want to keep them just for sentimental reason. But it is doubtful that you will want to wear them because they don’t have elastic and are just falling down.
Going back to the question how long to keep panties? If you are feeling uncomfortable with how long you have owned the panties you are still wearing, get down to your local lingerie shop. And throw away the old ones because there isn’t something that you can keep forever.
