Japanese fashion student Gomi Hayakawa probably was wondering why only big-breasted girls should get all the fun of underwear shopping? That must be the reason she decided to design lingerie sets that are made especially for small breasted women. The collection was named Feast.
In English, “flat-chested” has slightly derogatory connotations. Japanese language, on the other hand, has so many words for describing sizes, shapes and textures of breasts that you would never think of. For example, if you are able to describe breasts in one or two words, with the same amount of detail a sommelier might describe the different flavors of a complex wine. So it is no wonder that Japan has a bit of a breast-loving reputation.
In any case, it seems that designs of Gomi Hayakawa answered a significant market need. She offered two sets named “Fairy Feather” and “Angelic Wing”. Immediately after going on-line, the e-shop was filled with small breasted ladies’ orders, and soon enough the designer announced she would be running out of supplies after one more round of orders.
Currently Hayakawa’s e-shop states both items are sold out. But, let’s hope the young designer will find a way to boost supplies and will bring back the lingerie that helps small breasted women feel more confident and sexy.
